PEER REVIEW PROCESS - Scription Publishers INC

Editors are the outstanding determining individuals for Scription Publishers INC. Endowing with editors’ guidelines and interests, any amendments and updates will be made to the journals. To direct the journal and to reserve a transparent flow of work, the journal aligns the categories and responsibilities to editors as per the fundamentals. Here are some guidelines for editors, based on the COPE Code of Conduct.

Peer review in all its construction plays a vital role in confirming the quality of scientific output. Peer review is a process of evaluating the scientific work by other scholars in the same field. Peer review procedure depends upon trust and requires that every person involved acts reliably and ethically. Peer review is the process by which editorial board members/researchers evaluate the quality and accuracy of articles.

Every article submitted to our journal, the Managing Editor or the Section Journal Editor will first scrutinize whether the article meets the formal criteria specified in the Author Guidelines and whether it fits within the aims and scope of the journal. After pre-quality check, every article is assigned to editorial board members or researchers whose expertise fall within the scope of the article who does not have any potential conflict of interest with any of the manuscript’s authors. In order to maintain the integrity and ensure the quality of articles, will undergo a double-blind peer-review process, where the authors and reviewers do not know each other’s identity.

Person who reviews the article i.e reviewer must (i) not have co-authored publications with the author and (ii) not be affiliated with the same institution as the author(s).

All articles except Editorials will be sent out for peer review process and at least two reviewer comments per manuscript will be collected. Reviewers are assigned with particular time period to review within the time; however, they are permitted to extend the review period of time in order to complete and submit their report.

Reviewers can make one of the following recommendations for the editors to consider:

  • Accept manuscript without any change (Can be published as it is)
  • Accept after minor revision (i.e., article can be accepted if the author makes the requested minor revisions)
  • Accept after major revision (i.e., article can be accepted after major revisions have been made – the manuscript may be sent out for another peer review round)
  • Reject manuscript (i.e., the manuscript is flawed or not sufficiently novel)

Based on the reviewer’s comments, Journal editor can make one of the following recommendations.

  • Accept
  • Revision
  • Reject

Accept

Articles accepted directly without any corrections will be published online by conveying the same with author.

Revision

Formal revision may be required if the language or style is sub-standard. To facilitate rapid publication, authors are given with a time period for minor/major revisions, with possible extensions of up to 2 to 3 weeks based on the type of the article. Based on the revised article editor take final decision to publish.

Publication

When the manuscript is accepted for publication, the author will be sent a galley proof in order to make any final corrections. Once this is done the manuscript will be published online of the journal’s website. All accepted peer reviewed manuscripts will be published online and are citable by the digital object identifier (DOI) assigned at the time of online publication.
